Packed were the bags, for the next day.
Vegetables cut and ready, to be cooked and put away.
Clothes ironed and hung, all set in the almirah.
Polished were the shoes, without any excuse.

Then flashed a BREAKING NEWS….

which became ‘THE BREAKING NEWS’ of the year 2020.
It was something, no one ever thought.
From routines to schedules, unprecedented changes it brought.
Our work bags remained unpacked for long,

the buzz about the menu at home was always on.

Arguments and suggestions went on, on and on.
Each one lost in his own thoughts, wondering what went wrong.
For this virus to go away, for this lockdown, to unlock.
Will it take, too long? Answers were sought.

Flashed another BREAKING NEWS….
No help, no outings, no cinemas, no shopping.
Do cooking, do cleaning, do mopping, do sweeping.
Work together, stay together, enjoy together and cook together.

Do everything thing together as long as crowds do not gather.
