Letter to Corona
“A collective appeal, straight from our hearts
As the pandemic is here, spreading like fire.”
Dear Corona
My country is slowly getting into your dangerous tentacles. People are getting
paranoid, hoarding stuff, waiting for something like apocalypse. Locked in my
home, hearing about precious lives lost all over the world, I am deeply worried
and anxious about the situation. It makes me feel sad for people who lost their
lives and afraid for those whom I love, just because of you. Just think of those
doctors, nurses who have to work round the clock to save the world, the people
who lost their jobs and students like us who have to stay in our homes and miss
our schools. So, I request you to kindly take away the sorrows and sufferings
from this peaceful world and retreat.
Let us enjoy the warmth of the sun, the cool breezy morning, company of friends
and hustle bustle of lives that we deeply miss.

“Tough times never last, but tough people do”.
It was the end of my semester and I was all ready to have fun but life doesn’t
always turn out the way we want it to be. “Curfew and 21 days lockdown”, the
newspaper headline changed everything. I was a bit sad, but thought that everything
would return to normal soon. Those 21 days were rather fun but then the lockdown
extended and I got bored watching Net lix and playing board games. I am trying
well to it in the new normal. I miss my friends, school, the fun family outings and
all the lively things in life.
I have learnt to value the lives of people not only the ones I love but everyone. I
have learnt that it’s not the materialistic things that make us happy but the people
you get to share them with. Lesson learnt dear Corona, now you must leave and let
everyone live without the fear of getting the swab test done.
