An Unwelcome Guest!

When most of the students were giving their final exams

of the session, a sudden announcement changed the
way we were going to live for the next few months.

A nationwide one-day lockdown was announced on March
22, 2020. Just a day later, a 21-day lockdown was established
in our whole country. This was shocking for everyone, from
children to the elderly, from the rich to the poor. It affected
us as students very much as not going to school for a new

session and not meeting friends was devastating and
disheartening. But as humans, we adapted. So many labourers
had to go back to their hometowns on foot, to survive.

After that four more lockdowns took place, and
everyone started to settle in this new contemporary.
On June 1, 2020, Unlock-I was initiated and the situation turned
worse with the rising number of Covid-19 patients per day.
But what amazed me the most was, how a virus had been
able to change a world of 7 billion people so rapidly.

It changed the way we ate, it changed the way we

socialized, it changed the way we LIVED. That virus
was an unwelcome and troublesome guest who came
without a notice in advance. We let down our guard,
and that caused the loss of staggering number of lives.

But there is still hope. We can recover and we will
recover by following all the government protocols.
