My Feelings - Lockdown in 2020
We had thought that 2020 would be a very good mathematical year with
two ’20s in it, Alas! It seems to be a very tough one. In the early part of the
year, the news of a widespread disease, called COVID 19 was spreading
like wildfire.
India too got affected and a lockdown was initiated by government by
the end of March 2020. The focus was to stop spread the of infectious
disease and prevent casualties in our country.
On a personal front, I thought it was going to be a matter of a few days
only; then things would get back on track in a month or so. But actually,
the things are still scary. We have now spent more than half of the
year in controlled lockdown. We have learned to be safe by following
the guidelines of wearing masks, washing hands, and following social
distancing.
I miss my school the most. Though we are having a good time in online
classes, the feel of having a face to face interactions is most missed. As an
advantage, I have spent good times with my family, played a lot of indoor
games, taken Yoga, music, and dance classes online apart from regular
studies.
How I wish, that the vaccine is supplied quickly so that the balance session
of the year can be conducted in school. I also wish to go out shopping
and spend a week, traveling to the hills.
