The New Normal
“New normal” is repeatedly stressed upon,
To let people stay virus-free and carry on
But are the ignorant mindsets of people normal or even new,
How hard is it to wear a mask, sanitise, maintain 6 feet distance I’ve seen only
in a few,
Do people not realise that it’s much more than just another flu?
It’s stories of contact-spreading are not false, absolutely true!
When , oh when, will this ever end?
It’s not just covid , but issues of racial injustice, migration and rights to
defend.
For in this time of darkness, at the end of the tunnel I see no light
Maybe we need to extend the lockdown, make it much more tight!
We need to stay indoors, be it day or night
But how long before we can meet our friends, and everything is just right?
Have we accepted this “quarantine routine” and given up for good?
Message has been received from Nature but still misunderstood
Is this how earth wants us to repay all that we owed?
Starving mobs, struggle for survival, one meal, no abode!
