Locked Times of 2020
Suddenly came the lockdown,
It let all our hopes down,
In our homes, we are locked,
Our travel is completely docked,
Wearing masks is the new normal,
Outings have become almost negligible,
Every sneeze or cough sends us chills,
We are popping up Vitamin-C pills.
Handwash, sanitizers are the ‘IN’ things,
Ramayana, Mahabharat is the new ‘Binge’,
Living rooms are a school, classes online,
slowly adapting to technologies with time,
Mornings buzz with video calls,
Shutters down, be it shopping malls,
Master chef was born in every home,
Days are spent on Safari and Chrome,
T-shirt, pajamas are the new National dress,
Ludo became national game under this duress,
Tried all DIYs, did sketching and painting,
Started the day with yoga and OM chanting,
No get-togethers, no gifts, and sweets,
All celebrations are done on Google Meets,
Weekdays, weekends, all look the same,
Few have fun, while few go insane,
Yearning to meet all near and dear,
With no barriers and no fear,
Hoping to see soon lifting up pall,
!
To shake hands again, to hug and meet all!!
